This is a very gentle exfoliator, even for my sensitive skin. I am not sure that I have seen any pigmentation correction from this, but I am also using a lot of other hyperpigmentation serums. I feel a slight tingle after applying, but it has never irritated or over exfoliated my skin, even with frequent use.
