Yes. We don't recommend combining retinoids with acids (AHAs or BHAs) in the same routine, as this can be too intense for most skin types and may cause dryness, irritation, or barrier compromise. Instead, alternate them by using retinol one night and your exfoliating acid on another. Similarly, avoid using multiple acid-containing products together in the same routine - instead, use one in the morning and another in the evening. This approach lets you enjoy the benefits of both without overwhelming your skin.

If you experience any sensitivity, take a short break from active treatments to allow your skin to reset and rebuild its natural barrier.
